Presidency 5 - Your Date With History

Presidency5, the RPOF State Convention and Straw Poll will be held in Orland,Florida September 22nd - September 24th.  This is your chance to be a part of history and help select the next President of the United States.  Delegates will be selected by the REC in St. Johns County on July 14th, 2011.  St. Johns County is allotted 55 delegates.The selection process consists of two parts:

The County Chairman, The State Committeeman and the State Committeeman are automatically selected.  They will still have to pay the delegate fee.

75% (39) of the allotted delegates will be selected by a lottery.

25% (13) of the allotted delegates will be selected by the committee composed of the Chairman, The State Committeeman and the State Committeewoman.

Presidential Debate

Those selected must be prepared to pay their registration fee that night. 

The RPOF has taken 100,000 s.f. of the Orlando Convention Center.  The ACU (American Conservative Union) has taken the other 600,000 s.f. in the building and will be hosting  many other events in conjunction with the convention.  The events kick off with a televised Presidential debate on Thursday night hosted by Fox News.  On Friday theRPOF will hold its Quarterly Meeting, at the same time many of the candidates will be hosting caucuses and events to meet with delegates in the runup to the vote on Saturday.

For the first time in over 10 years, the Republican Party of Florida will hold a state convention and straw poll this September in Orlando.  The Presidency 5 convention allows you, any Republican registered as such since before February 1, 2011 to participate and be among the 3500 delegates that will cast their preference vote for the Presidential Candidate of your choice.  You wanted a chance to make a difference...this is your opportunity.Sarah Palin

The convention will he be held at the Orlando Convention Center from Thursday September 22nd through Saturday September 24th.  It will begin with the delegates forming the audience for a Presidential Debate that will be telecast nationally by Fox News.  Saturday, you will observe the quarterly meeting of the RPOF, listen to Presidential hopefuls as they visit the various meetings and caucuses and the events being sponsored simultaneously by the American Conservative Union.

It is criticalthat you take this opportunity to voice you concerns and vote for the preferred nominee. The straw poll will come in advance of the Florida Presidential Preference Primary to be held in the 5th position nationally sometime in the first quarter of 2012. You may possibly get to vote for:

  • Rick Perry
  • Rudy Giuliani
  • Sara Palin
  • Michele Bachman
  • Chris Christie

But only if you register to qualify for the delegate selection lottery to be held at our July REC meeting on Thursday July 14th.  In order to qualify for the Delegate Selection Lottery to be held that night, you must register at the P5 website by June 10th.
